Shrink tubing in various colors cut to fit 70mm for 18650 cells.

Many suppliers of batteries for daily use such as Efest, Keeppower, Enerpower ect. already provide their own batteries with durable PVC shrink tubing to ensure safety in use.
Since industrial batteries are built for further processing, the protective coating of the cells is not sufficient for daily applications.
Damaged protective coating can quickly become the doom of Li-Ion battery (short circuit, fire, explosion, etc.)

Application examples:
Replace damaged protective coating.
Additional heat shrink tubing to extend safety. (especially important for industrial cells).
Replace already worn or torn down shrink tubing.

Processing:
Pull the shrink tubing over the cell so that the cell is in the center of the shrink tubing.
Using a heat gun or suitable warm air dryer, first shrink the tubing on the positive pole and then on the negative pole.
When the tubing has bent at both poles and looks tight, the treatment is carried out on the outer surface of the cell.

Tip and safety:
Do not heat the shrink tubing and the battery too much - the shrink tubing starts to shrink at 80°.
Cell must not be heated for too long. (fire and explosion hazard)
Do not place the cell and shrink tubing in the oven or microwave. (Fire and explosion hazard)

Only suitable for unprotected 18650 batteries. (max length 66mm)
