A special feature is the revive mode. If a battery has been unused for too long and can no longer be recognized or charged by most devices, this charger can "revive" such a battery and subsequently charge it. (However, caution should be exercised with lithium-ion batteries, as deeply discharged batteries below 2.4V can cause loss of capacity and discharges below 1.5V can develop into a potential hazard; such batteries should be taken to a specialty store for disposal as a precaution. Attention: rechargeable batteries do not belong in the battery disposal).
